I saw this caterpillar on my heliotrope plant today. I have no idea what kind it is…I can’t find it in my field guide. :-p

This is the reason we started putting out bird feeders…Miss Goldilocks loves to watch her birds through our windows. Here a mourning dove was so excited to pig out in my tray feeder that he hardly realized that he was on center stage in Goldy’s window!

Bird-watching at Tibet Butler Preserve
Thanks to a traffic jam on the turnpike one morning, we found the Tibet Butler Preserve on a back road about 15 minutes from our house. It’s another fun place to watch for birds and butterflies.
