Cedar Waxwings
The Cedar Waxwings are back! We saw (and heard!) several flocks flying over Fowler Grove this afternoon, then later four of them visited the oak in Goldy’s yard. It’d be fun if the big flocks converge upon our tree again this year…

It figures that some of the roses are putting on their best flushes of new growth in a long time, a couple weeks before I’ll have to prune it all off! This is ‘Peace’. She’s one of the roses that’s going to be transplanted soon (the original plan was to transplant this weekend, but it looks like the weather is going to postpone it. Silly freezes!!)
More fun with close-ups. This is a dianthus annual flower that is blooming like crazy in our back beds right now.
