Your house can be the best bird blind, if you can attract the birds close enough to the windows.  I recently did my fall window cleaning, getting the glass nice and clear for winter shooting.  So I was excited when one of our Common Ground Doves came into the nearby flower bed, and didn’t freak out when he saw The Beast pop into the window.  The image quality through the glass of the window isn’t the best, but it beats sitting outside under a blanket for hours! :)
