Why did the Sandhill Cranes cross the road?

To get to the bad light on the other side!

The joke was on the photographer.  I had not seen any of this year’s local Sandhill Crane families this year.  When I noticed the family of four on the side of the road, I pulled over to take a few quick photos.  But they immediately headed to the bad light!  Silly birds.  It’s nice to see the springtime families. :)
