Recently I was contacted by the non-profit organization Pacific Forest Trust.  They had seen one of my Sandhill Crane images on Flickr, and they wanted permission to use it in their magazine.  I said OK, if they would credit me and send me a copy of their magazine.  It arrived in the mail today, and I didn’t expect to get such a thrill when I opened it up and found my full-page image to introduce their lead article!  The little “Jessica Yarnell / www.catandturtle.net” credit on the left side looks so professional! :)

Thanks to Kim at Pacific Forest Trust for the little “thank you” post-it note that came on the article.  I’m glad that my work can contribute in some small way to protecting the environment that I so enjoy photographing.
