For the past two years, Carla and Peter have been annoyed by our neighborhood cardinal “Beaky” as he comes and taps on their windows. They have tried fake snakes, window screens, suncatchers, wind chimes, everything…and the silly bird won’t quit!

We had hoped that Beaky would stop this activity last spring after he met Mrs. Beaky and raised a brood of babies. Nope.

Now Mrs. Beaky has joined him in attacking the window! And they don’t limit themselves to windows. They sit on cars parked in the street and poke at the side mirrors.

You know, the term “birdbrain” might be very applicable here… :)
