Our first pineapple ripened in time for my birthday.  It was small but very tasty.  Homegrown pineapples are so much sweeter than store fruit.

It’s disappointing that the fruit isn’t a little bigger this year, but I have a feeling that I’m lucky to have gotten fruit at all, given last winter’s transplant and subsequent freezes.
